Candy Forest @ Central

Christmas and New Year is coming and the city is celebrating. The Central @ Clarke Quay has a special way to celebrate it, with a candy forest exhibition that brings the spectators through the impressions of Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

The Styrofoam structures were done beautifully and convincingly realistic.

The famous candy makers, Sticky has a decent space to exhibits their handmade sweeties.

Congrats for the great job for The Central and the appointed designers.

Around the escalator

Another decent exhibition in a shopping mall. Lancome exhibition@Raffles City Shopping Centre

Generally the design is very simple and straight forward, several interesting details on the product stands.

But the most interesting thing is the fact that it was built around an escalator.

Great execution in using limited space around the escalator.

Lights Up! at River Side

Mid autumn festival just ended. Was walking around the Central to find some mooncakes and saw this mid autumn festival decoration.

It was such a huge exhibition across the clarke quay area. The decoration starts from Cavenagh bridge to Read bridge.

It was packed with people and sadly my camera wasn't good enough to capture the real awesomeness of the event. It display 12 chinese horoscope signs and also some traditional Chinese stories

Hope better photographers out there willing to contribute some better pics. Email me :)

Buying a camera in a cafe?

Made another trip to Vivo yesterday. Took some photos of the Sony NEX booth that promotes Sony latest addition to their alpha range digital camera.
The booth boast an interesting concept. It was designed as a Cafe where you can order your camera over the counter.
They even provide some light beverages for the guests and people can tryout the camera over a nicely decorated table with objects.
Thank you for Kenther Sones, Creative Producer of Spoc Solutions for the invitation.
For photography afficionados, maybe it's time for you to get a new camera :)

some Noise at Changi

Just across the YOG booth at Changi terminal 3, I saw something that really catch my attention. It's the Noise Singapore booth
In a small(probably 4x3m) simple booth. Noise Singapore succesfully showcases interesting works of Singapore local artworks.

There are too many interesting works inside the booth for me to cover on this short writings. So, I would just focus to 2 works that really leave an impressions in me.

This illustration. I'm a big fan of comic style illustration. Especially those with strong outlines

And this painted bottle display. Such a good inspiration for wine display or beverages.

Another great job from Noise Singapore in promoting local art scene. 4 Thumbs Up

YOG Season

YOG season is all over Singapore now. I just came back from a short trip overseas and pass by this exhibition at Changi airport.

The booth was pretty empty that day. Probably because it was sunday night. The trampoline is pretty popular with kids
Sadly the soccer challenge wasn't operational that day. If not, I'm up for the challenge!

Brazil = King of football?

A tad late for the world cup fever but this exhibition still very appealing and draw attention nevertheless. Launch together with the arrival of a football legend, Romario in Singapore.

The exhibition tells detailed information about Brazillian football. Both history and beauty.

The designer has spend a lot of efforts on the details. Everything in the space was planned brilliantly. I feel like I was a footballer that going through a journey of training, changing room and preparation before hitting the field.
