some Noise at Changi

Just across the YOG booth at Changi terminal 3, I saw something that really catch my attention. It's the Noise Singapore booth
In a small(probably 4x3m) simple booth. Noise Singapore succesfully showcases interesting works of Singapore local artworks.

There are too many interesting works inside the booth for me to cover on this short writings. So, I would just focus to 2 works that really leave an impressions in me.

This illustration. I'm a big fan of comic style illustration. Especially those with strong outlines

And this painted bottle display. Such a good inspiration for wine display or beverages.

Another great job from Noise Singapore in promoting local art scene. 4 Thumbs Up

YOG Season

YOG season is all over Singapore now. I just came back from a short trip overseas and pass by this exhibition at Changi airport.

The booth was pretty empty that day. Probably because it was sunday night. The trampoline is pretty popular with kids
Sadly the soccer challenge wasn't operational that day. If not, I'm up for the challenge!

Brazil = King of football?

A tad late for the world cup fever but this exhibition still very appealing and draw attention nevertheless. Launch together with the arrival of a football legend, Romario in Singapore.

The exhibition tells detailed information about Brazillian football. Both history and beauty.

The designer has spend a lot of efforts on the details. Everything in the space was planned brilliantly. I feel like I was a footballer that going through a journey of training, changing room and preparation before hitting the field.

Singapore Food Festival

Went to enjoy some good food with some friends on this events. This annual events boasting a wide range of chinese cuisine on traditional push carts.

Kudos to the team at Spoc Solutions in providing us another family friendly and enjoyable event. Too bad I didn't get the chance to see all the performances.

Had a great fun on the event. Allthough I still feel that the price tag of 38 SGD for the buffett(without drinks) wasn't very much worth it.

Eco Friendly Booth

I always like to see exhibitions in a shopping malls. It always very inviting than a corporate type trade show. However, it's pretty rare to see some cutting edge and out of the box ideas.

I really like the way this panasonic booth promotes their eco friendly products. Interesting use of recycled paper material being used for the structures.

mmm yummy

Just happens to pass by this small display at Vivo City.

Several restaurant at Vivo City competes to create the best Balloon display of their own cuisine\

I was pretty tempted to take some of the "pastas" with me but decided to just fulfill my desire with a nice pasta dinner

a trip to Vivo City

Was on my way to watch Dispecable Me with my GF that day and happens to catch this prominent exhibit at Vivo City Atrium.

After paying 4 SGD(for 2 tickets), we proceed to the entrance.

Greeted by the big yellow door which resemble National Geographic logo, sadly the usher told us to keep our camera and didn't allow us to take any photos of the interior.

Once we stepped in, a video played on a big projection screen showing us a short documentary movie about the Oman voyage. The usher showed us the way in and we finally see what this is all about. it showcases a lot of interesting relics the Oman voyage and all the relics are being displayed in specific jewel case that resemble treasure cases.

We spent +/- 10 mins inside before we stepped out and took some shots of the exterior.

Pretty interesting use of materials can be seen through out the structure. They uses fabric instead of plywood as the wall structure. A cost saving solution for such a big event space and also in line with the ship concept.

Some multimedia kiosks being displayed outside. It shows a detailed information of the ship that they are using in the voyage. Well presented with interactive 3D graphics.
Interesting detail on the structure. The uses of multiple threaded ropes instead of just usual laminates.
